The name “Indy Office Planner” comes directly from what we do—helping businesses plan their offices with a focus on our own backyard, Indianapolis. Samuel, our founder, is the mind behind it all. Growing up in the office furniture world through his father’s business, Samuel was part of projects from start to finish, witnessing firsthand how transforming a space could change people’s experiences and bring genuine joy. While he admired many aspects of his father’s business, he also saw gaps in the process and envisioned ways to modernize and grow it. When the opportunity arose to build his own business, Samuel filled those gaps and integrated technology, ensuring Indy Office Planner stays relevant in the ever-evolving age of tech.
Some traditional approaches were carried over, like the emphasis on relationships over sales. Samuel’s philosophy is simple: “I don’t make any promises to manufacturers about how much of their product I will sell, because that would serve them before the customer. I stay open to provide exactly what my customer needs.” This commitment to the client has become the hallmark of Indy Office Planner.
Indianapolis was a natural choice for Samuel’s focus. Born and raised here, he has a deep connection to the streets and the people, and he’s passionate about serving his community in the commercial furniture space. His approach is different from typical dealerships: while many can provide the same furniture, Samuel provides a consistency and reliability clients can count on.
Each project is unique—churches, schools, offices, restaurants, and more all come with different challenges and needs. Samuel and his team thrive on diving into these challenges, collaborating with clients, and providing tailored solutions. It can be complex at times, but it’s always worth it to see the finished space bring comfort and functionality to those who use it.
Beyond furniture, Indy Office Planner’s mission is service. The team focuses on making the process seamless, ensuring clients feel at ease and that the work was never a hassle. Looking to the future, the company plans to expand its service footprint to Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio, bringing the same care and dedication to neighbors beyond Indianapolis. Additionally, there is a goal to launch an e-commerce platform, making it even simpler for clients who may only need a few items rather than a full project. This will allow Indy Office Planner to serve businesses in every stage of their office planning journey.
